Equity market gains 0.69% to sustain uptrend

The Nigerian equity market on Wednesday gained 0.69%, sustaining yesterday’s uptrend. Similarly, market breadth closed positive recording 27 gainers against 19 losers.
In summary, the All Share Index (ASI) gained 193.13 absolute points, representing a growth of 0.69% to close at 28,286.43 points. Similarly, the Market Capitalization gained N66.77 billion, representing a growth of 0.69% to close at N9.78 trillion.
The upturn was impacted by gains recorded in medium and large capitalized stocks, amongst which are; SEPLAT (+4.64%), FBNH (+3.41%) ZENITH (+1.69%), UBA (+1.57%), GTB (+1.46%), NB (+1.39%), ACCESS (+1.36%), DANGCEM (+0.61%), FLOURMILLS (+0.42%) and TOTAL (+0.02%).
