Remember that app you can use to recharge your phone on-the-fly? It’s Zoto, Nigeria’s fastest mobile phone recharge app, and it is now being used by over one million users.

Launched in 2015, Zoto offers customers a convenient way to stay connected and recharge from any network. It allows the customer to save their card details in the app, thus helping to eliminate the hassle of entering card details again and again.

Since last year, Zoto has been on the news for good reasons. The app reached 350,000 downloads on the Google Play Store, had a 4.5 star rating on the Store, and was growing at 100% month-on-month.

Also last year, it topped Google Play Store’s Shopping Category in Nigeria, beating Jumia and the likes to the top spot.

This latest milestone further places Zoto at the top of the airtime recharge segment in Nigeria, where physical scratch recharge cards and USSD short codes are prevalent.

“We are celebrating with you for sticking with us; this past year has been one of delightful milestones. Zoto was the number one shopping app on playstore, averaging a 4.6 approval rating and now, one million users,” Zoto stated.

Zoto is celebrating this milestone by giving all its users ₦500 free airtime. All they need do is get the latest version of the app. After getting the bonus, users will also get 50% off their next transaction.

A brand of Lagos-based Hedonmark Management Service Limited, Zoto is a mobile money and mobile commerce service licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria, and is available on iOS and Android.
