ASI sheds 1.10%, extending bearish run to three trading sessions.

The equity market on Tuesday shed 1.10%, extending bearish run to three trading sessions. Similarly, market breadth closed negative recording 10 gainers against 31 losers.  
 
In summary, the All Share Index (ASI) shed 359.60 absolute points, representing a decline of1.10% to close at 32,410.20 points. Similarly, the Market Capitalization shed N162.18 billionrepresenting a decline of 1.43% to close at N11.17 trillion. The difference in market capitalization was due to the delisting of Ashaka Cement.

The downturn was impacted by losses recorded in medium and large capitalized stocks, amongst which are; UBA (-5.75%), FLOURMILL (-5.07%), JBERGER (-5.00%), GUINESS (-4.99%), CONOIL (-4.98%), FBNH (-3.43%), STANBIC (-3.00%), ACCESS (-2.25%), NB (-1.86%),  OANDO (-1.66%),  ZENITH (-1.51%) and GTB (-1.28%).
