Turkish Cargo won the Payload Asia industry choice award as “Overall Carrier Of The Year”

Along with a strong growth in September and has recorded an increase of 27 percent in its freight and mail volume for a total of 810 thousand tons for the period January-September 2017, Turkish Cargo has once more been awarded by the international air cargo sector.

Turkish Cargo has been awarded the most distinguished “Overall Carrier of the Year” prize in the Customer’s Choice category at the 33rd annual Payload Asia Awards, organized by the Payload Asia Group and aimed at honoring the carriers for their excellence in the air cargo industry.

Awarded with the contribution of the readers, air cargo customers and business partners of Payload Asia, member of the Federation of Asia Pacific Aircargo Association (FAPAA), the awards were unveiled at the annual ceremony attended by distinguished guests from around the world. The most prestigious award of the year was attributed to Turkish Cargo for its substantial growth.

Along with Turkish Airlines network coverage of 300 destinations worldwide offering belly cargo capacity of 313 aircraft and providing 16 dedicated freighter aircraft to 72 destinations through 60 countries, Turkish Cargo strives to become the most preferred air carrier in the sector.

According to the 2017 Skytrax survey, Turkish Airlines, already having a six consecutive years of “Best Airline in Europe” award between 2011 and 2016, now chosen as the “Best Airline in Southern Europe” for the ninth consecutive times.

Having won the “Best Economy Class Onboard Catering” award in 2010, Turkish Airlines also awarded as the World’s “Best Business Class Onboard Catering” in 2013, 2014 and 2016, and 2017.

Winning the “World’s Best Business Class Lounge” award in 2015 and 2017, the global carrier also picked up the World’s “Best Business Class Lounge Dining” award for the third consecutive years according to this year’s survey results.
