Price of Diesel jumps by 3.89% in January – NBS

The National Bureau of statistics has said that average price paid by consumers for automotive gas oil (diesel) increased by 3.89% month-on-month and decreased by -5.89% year-on-year to N213.82 in January 2018 from N205.81 in December 2017.

The NBS revealed this in its Automotive Gas Oil (Diesel) Price Watch report, January 2018.

The report stated that states with the highest average price of diesel were Sokoto (N256.00) Kebbi (N255.45) and Taraba (N250.25). While states with the lowest average price per litre of kerosene were Bayelsa (N181.67), Ondo (N183.75) and Abia (N190.56).

The report further said that states with the highest average price per gallon of kerosene were Adamawa (N1, 185.83), Benue (N1, 175) Ondo (N1, 160) while states with the lowest average price per litre of kerosene were Lagos (N912.11), Sokoto (N918.33) and Anambra (N927).
