Equity Market Sustains Yesterdays Uptrend, Posts 1.03% Gain.

The Equity Market on Thursday gained 1.03% sustaining yesterday’s gain. Similarly, market breadth closed positive, recording 29 gainers against 24 losers. 

In summary, the All Share Index (ASI) gained 432.60 absolute points, representing a growth of 1.03% to close at 42,604.40 points. Similarly, the Market Capitalization gained N155.25 billionrepresenting a growth of 1.03% to close at N15.29 trillion.

The upturn was impacted by gains recorded in medium and large capitalized stocks, amongst which are; FBNH (+8.23%), DANGSUGAR (+4.76%), UBA (+4.22%), DANGFLOUR (+2.52%), ACCESS (+2.38%), STANBIC (+2.22%), GUARANTY (+1.97%), WAPCO (+1.96%), NB (+1.86%), ETI (+1.78%), DANGCEM (+0.58%), ZENITHBANK (+0.48%), FLOURMILL (+0.31%) and SEPLAT (+0.01%).

The Naira at the inter-bank (official) closed at N305.95 representing a 0.02% appreciation against Yesterday’s closing price. The Investors and Exporters (I&E) FX window opened at N360.00, traded high at N361.50 and eventually closed at N360.13, representing a 0.07% appreciation against Yesterday’s closing price. A total of $169.16 million was transacted through the I&E window today.
