World’s top alcoholic drinks brands could lose US$33bn from COVID-19

Diageo has launched a 13% ABV dairy-free version of its Baileys liqueur in the UK, which is made from almond milk.

This vegan-friendly version of the signature Baileys drink is called Baileys Almande and has been being introduced to the UK following the success of the drink with US consumers.

Baileys Almande replaces the cream in its traditional Baileys drink with almond milk, almond oil and vanilla essence creating a “smooth, nutty flavour”.

The Baileys Almande drinks are packaged in 700ml bottles, and the range will be available from UK retailers with a suggested retail price of £16.

Laura Pearce, Baileys marketing director at Diageo said: “Baileys is one of the UK’s most-loved spirits brands and we wanted to create an indulgent treat that can be enjoyed by those who either cannot or choose not to have dairy in their diets.

“Since Baileys Almande launched in the US, we have been inundated with requests over here, so we’re delighted to be bringing Baileys Almande to the UK!”
