Still, in the spirit of 2018 FIFA World Cup, someone should please get these songs to the Super Eagles of Nigeria for motivational purposes.

Issa Goal by Naira Marley ft. Olamide and Lil Kesh

Naira Marley’s song should be the Nigerian soundtrack to this year’s World Cup for sure. The UK based Naira Marley teams up with Olamide and Lil Kesh to create a banger. The song was released in 2017 and it’s peaking at the right time with the arrival of the World cup. The song has even gotten him a Coca-Cola sponsored remix with Falz, Slimcase and Simi on the remix.

Waving Flag by K’naan

2010’s World Cup anthem is still valid in 2018. Off the Troubadour album, Waving Flag was K’naans smash single and it was made even more popular when Coca-Cola picked it up and made it an unofficial World Cup song. now that K’naan is older, I wonder if they call him freedom like a waving flag.

Waka Waka (This Time for Africa) by Shakira

Although most of us didn’t understand the lyrics of this song and we just ‘jenu’ to it. Waka Waka by Sharkira featuring South Africa’s Freshlyground was a jam. It was the 2010 FIFA World Cup official song. It hit number one in many countries record charts across the world and was number thirty-eight on the Hot 100 in the US.

Trophy by Adekunle Gold x Mayorkun

The World Cup season is here, and while the Super Eagles of Nigeria haven’t impressed in their first game, we still have hope. Adekunle Gold and Mayorkun want you to believe. Their song Believe Anthem in conjunction with Trophy lager beer is one of the many World Cup-themed songs that have dropped this season.

Power to Win by Flavour
