Lagos State HoS implores Public Servants to redouble their efforts in 2019

The Lagos State Head of Service, Mr Hakeem Muri-Okunola has implored staff in the State Public Service to redouble their efforts in the discharge of their duties and responsibilities so as to achieve set goals in the Year 2019.

The Head of Service gave the charge today at the 2019 First Working Day inter-religious prayers session organised by the Office of Head of Service and held at the Adeyemi-Bero Auditorium, Alausa Secretariat, Ikeja, Lagos.

Muri–Okunola said there is a need for all public servants to carry out their schedule of duties with diligence and commitment while shunning unprofessional and unproductive habits during work hours.

He emphasised the importance of timely and effective delivery of individual tasks towards the overall achievement of the mandates ofMinistries, Departments and Agencies.

The HoS also charged public servants to always exhibit the time-tested values, ethos and traditions of honesty, probity, transparency, integrity, hard work and service excellence.

While noting that the Public Service of the future would be innovation and technology-driven, Muri-Okunola enjoined all workers to brace up for the challenges of the future Public Service by taking time to equip and improve themselves academically and/or professionally.
