WIMBIZ Set To Hold Its 15th Annual Lecture Advocating For A Gender Balance Society

Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ), is set to hold its 15th Annual Lecture on Thursday, March 21 at Shell Hall, Muson Centre, Onikan, Lagos.

The WIMBIZ Annual Lecture series is one of WIMBIZ yearly events and it attracts more than 700 high profiled women in management, business, and public service. The lecture is designed to discuss topical issues that affect women, their role in nation building and their personal, business or organizational development.

The theme of this year’s Annual Lecture is, Balance for Better, the topic of the discussion is, ‘Who said so? Challenging the status quo…’. and will be delivered by Bolanle Austen-Peters, Founder & CEO Bolanle Austen-Peters Productions & Terra Culture.

Bolanle Austen-Peters is one of the leading figures in Nigerian entertainment today, founding Terra Kulture in 2003 and Bolanle Austen-Peters Production (BAP) a decade later. She will be sharing her experience and how she has broken through the gender balance issues to be successful in business.

This lecture is aimed to address gender balance issues in Nigeria and the limitations that currently exist towards achieving it with solutions on how to overcome them. The lecture also seeks to equip delegates with an insight into the advantages of a balanced society, outlining its necessity and the role each individual plays towards a brighter and better future.

Balance is not just a women’s issue, it’s a societal issue. The global call is on for gender-balance in the boardroom, government, media and in different types of organizations.
