Uber is working on plans to bring its Bus system to Lagos

Following the success of its bus launch in Egypt, Uber is planning to introduce its bus transportation system in West Africa’s business hub, Lagos.

The Silicon Valley-based firm said it already in talks with city transport officials in the city.

A few months ago, Uber’s chief business officer, Brook Entwistle visited Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to discuss how the company could get approval and collaborate with the state to reduce traffic gridlock and provide a better public bus transportation system for the people.

The ride-hailing giant has been trying to diversify its services beyond the provision of car-hailing to other services like food, considering financial services.
