Covid-19: The Give Hope to Slum Child Provide “Hope Pack” To Communities

0

The Give Hope to the Slum Child Programme,  today is committed to supporting individuals who are in need – in response to the COVID-19 epidemic by identifying, assessing, developing, and scaling-up essential amenities people might need during the social distancing/self-isolation period.

As the 2 weeks nationwide shutdown comes into effect, the Give Hope to the Slum Child have stepped up efforts to tackle the challenges posed by the Covid-19 situation and the consequent socio-economic impact on the weaker sections of society. The partners are committed to equitable access, including making products available and affordable in low-resource settings.

The Give Hope to the Slum Child Programme plans to distribute packaged amenities such as food supplies, medical supplies, toiletries and a lot more to vulnerable groups in Nigeria during the lockdown.

We hope that we will be aided by donors, investors, and communities at large, to tackle the crisis and help out vulnerable sections of the population, especially vendors, daily-wage earners, gig-economy workers and small businesses.

Donations received will go towards funding the activities of TGP Strategic Preparedness and Response Plan, which include among others:
● Buying and shipping essential supplies such as masks, gloves and protective wear for frontline workers
● Providing food supplies and other amenities
● Providing recommendations to the general population and to particular organisations on steps to be implemented to deter the transmission of the disease and to avoid the spread of the disease and others.
Your donation is greatly appreciated in the global effort supporting the ability of Nigeria to respond to COVID-19, especially where the needs are greatest with less access to global markets and lower resources.
We are encouraged by the support that we have received in the previous years, which has reinforced the Foundation’s operational strength, and we would like to thank our existing donors because they are seeing the impact of our work across the country.
“This global challenge not only represents a risk to the health and safety of populations all over the world, but also poses a potential disruption to the economic vitality of millions of people, businesses, and organizations worldwide. We look forward to more donors to make this period soothing for the citizens of Nigeria in the midst of the crisis.
