With the lineup of actors for the movie, it looks like Kemi is gearing to own the topics of discussion on social media and blogging sites. She has both music artistes and actors featured in the movie in the persons of Sola Sobowale, Jide Kosoko, Sharon Ooja, Toni Tones, Reminisce, Adesua Etomi, Osas Ajibade, Paul Sambo, Sani Muazu, Demola Adedoyin, Akin Lewis and more.

From past experience and encounters, we definitely have some specific ones we are looking out for.

Check out our list below and why we are eagerly awaiting their appearances on Kemi Adetiba’s screen.

6. Reminisce:

Everybody knows he is first a singer before anything else, but Reminisce looks to be taking things seriously in the acting scene. We already saw a glimpse of his interest in Nollywood with his inclusion of Odunlade Adekola and Lota Chukwu in his music video, Ponmile. With his gangster outlook and Alaga Ibile nickname, Kemi has smartly cast him as Makanaki in the new film, a role that requires someone with just that amount of gangster.

5. Jide Kosoko:

The legend of Yoruba films, since Jide Kosoko dabbled into Nollywood English films, there has been no stopping or slowing down for him and the audience continues to love and crave for his presence on their screens. He is like the RMD of Yoruba films. From the loving rich father in Royal Hibiscus Hotel, to the government official with an impossible task in Accelerate TV’s Corper Shun, Jide Kosoko can basically do no wrong, when it comes to movies so whatever role he is cast in King of Boys, we will be there with popcorn and a drink, cheering him up and rooting of him.

4. Toni Tones:

The delectable and sexy Toni Tones took a shift from her comfort zone for a fiercer role in Kemi Adetiba’s King of Boys. From previous roles in films like Royal Hibiscus Hotel, It’s Her Day, amongst others, we have seen that Toni Tones can switch up her look and game through whatever role she is given, so she is definitely one actress we would love to see more of.

3. Adesua Etomi:

She is literally our baby girl and Nollywood’s sweetheart. She can do no wrong. It looks like she spoke Yoruba in a scene in the movie (from the trailer) and suddenly we feel like Yoruba is the sweetest language on earth. Besides, who wouldn’t love to see her in some action role?

2. Akin Lewis:

This is another Nollywood veteran that has come a long way and we always love to see in our screens. Akin Lewis has moved from Fuji House of Commotion through the ranks of top Nollywood movies and now, King of Boys. He looks to be playing a royal role by the looks of the trailer and everyone knows what a softie he can be with his family in films. So it will come as no surprise if he is being held to ransom on account of his family. The passion, fear and determination of a father desperate to protect his family will not be missed in his expressions. So we are definitely looking forward to some great acting from him.

1. Sola Sobowale:

In the first place, we have Sola Sobowale, a queen in her own rights. “I am Laburu, God’s punishment in a person,” were her lines from the King of Boys trailer (her voice cannot be missed) and we can tell you categorically that the voice carries all the fierceness of a person that goes by that name. If you have seen The Wedding Party and a host of other films with Sola Sobowale, then we need not say more.

Which other actor are you looking forward to seeing in the King of Boys movie?
