The Nigerian Stock Exchange released the list of top ten Brokers performance for the week (08/05/2017 – 12/05/2017)
The fresh data pushed into the capital market has shown that 65.37% of the total transactions for the week in terms of value were handled by 10 brokers, amounting to 37,578,045,371.89. Also, the top 10 Stockbrokers are responsible for 58.64% of the total volume between 08/05/2017 and 12/05/2017
This NSE, which revealed this in its Broker Performance Report, showed that STANBIC IBTC STOCKBROKERS LIMITED traded 740,938,869 shares, which accounted for 11.38 per cent of the exchange’s total trading volume. It was followed by CSL STOCKBROKERS LIMITED with 603,642,778 shares and REGENCY ASSETS MANAGEMENT LIMITED with 484,324,664 shares, representing 9.27 per cent and 7.44 per cent of total volume, respectively.
By value, STANBIC IBTC STOCKBROKERS LIMITED traded 7,648,469,010.33 Naira which represents 13.30% of the exchange’s total trading value while RENCAP SECURITIES (NIG) LIMITED and A.R.M SECURITIES LIMITED – BRD traded 7,548,668,929.88 Naira (13.13%) and 5,770,036,552.58 Naira (10.04%) respectively.
