Chartered Institute of Personnel Management Elects New President

A new President has been elected by the Chartered Institute Of Personnel Management of Nigeria(CIPM) to succeed the incumbent,Mr Anthony Arabome. He is Mr Udom Inoyo  who was  elected during the institute’s 48th Annual General Meeting held in Lagos recently. He served as Vice president of the institute.

Others who were elected are Mr Wale Adediran as Vice-President and Mrs Nkiru Adesogan as the Treasurer.
At the Meeting, Mr Arabome  stated that in the midst of the prevailing economic situation in the country,the institute has been able to explore more innovative ways of driving membership as well as sustaining the existing or old membership.
“To this end ,it is noteworthy that we recorded 1,198 newly inducted members compared to 1,103 in 2015 and a slight increase in student registration for the professional examination route,a total of 2,683 members” he said.
Mr Arabome also declared the institute’s strive to vigorously drive financial sustainability and stability leading to impressive all time high year-on-year increase in net assets of over N1billion which is about 21 percent increase over the figure recorded in 2015.
While applauding the members for their faith and confidence in the institute’s administration and vision,Arabome also hinted of its advocacy efforts at including CIPM certificates in the Civil Service scheme in the country.
The institute was established in 1968 to regulate the practice of human resources and personnel management in Nigeria. There are three categories of membership, Associate members, full members  and fellows.
