Telecommunications Company, Etisalat, has empowered its customers in Port Harcourt, Rivers State with the launch of its 4G (LTE) service in the city.
With the launch, Port Harcourt has joined the growing list of Nigerian cities where millions of customers enjoying super- fast Etisalat 4G service.
The other cities where Etisalat 4G LTE has been in operation are Lagos, Abuja, Kaduna and Kano.
As part of the launch, a team from Etisalat went on a roadshow, visiting some of the network’s corporate customers in Port Harcourt, such as Total Nigeria Plc., JBIS Integrated Resources Limited, First Independent Power Limited, Income Electrix, among others.
During the visit, the Director, Enterprise Segment, Etisalat Nigeria, Eric Uwaoma, stated that the launch of Etisalat 4G LTE has enabled corporations to transfer large amounts of data and communicate with their various locations easier, faster and seamlessly.
He said: “Now that Etisalat 4G LTE has been activated in Port Harcourt, our customers in the city can stream high-definition videos without buffering; transfer heavy files faster, do online transactions seamlessly, and do so much more with the internet.
“Etisalat 4G LTE is unique because unlike the experience of customers on other networks, Etisalat SIM cards are made 4G-ready. This means that our customers are able to connect to 4G without needing to go through a rigorous process, which includes a SIM swap. Also, Etisalat 4G LTE spectrum accommodates the widest range of devices, so that most of our customers do not need to purchase new devices in order to enjoy 4G LTE,” he said.
