While describing the edifice as part of social responsibilities of ICAN, the president urged the university to make judicious use of the gesture for good of the university and the nation.

“Good societies are built on desirable values that possess the quality of strong moral principles of honesty and decency.

“We must commend ICAN for delivering the project in good time, because the groundbreaking was performed in Dec. last year,” he noted.

The V-C said ICAN must also be appreciated for the fact education in Nigeria was underfunded, hence the need for private organisations and well meaning individuals to assist.

In his address, the Head of Accounting Department, ABU, Dr Salisu Abubakar promised to make judicious use of the facility for the development of the institution in particular and the nation in general.

He said: “This beautiful project that we lost in 2013 but to God be the glory, we have gotten the project last year and finally it has been commissioned.

“Putting the edifice to good use is just like assuring myself, because I am part and parcel of ICAN for the past 11 years.”

Dr. Abubakar said he will ensure that the theatre is put to use properly, adequately maintained and up-to-date in terms of all the facility usage and will be protected against vandalism.
