KINGSMAN TO RETURN IN 2019, FOX CONFIRMS

The United Kingdom’s elite team of secret agents are returning in 2019, Fox has confirmed.

According to reports, the Untitled Kingsman Movie will hit theatres on November 8, 2019, with Matthew Vaughn set to write and direct once again.

After the success of Kingsman: The Golden Circle, the writing was on the wall for another instalment in the franchise, though it remains to be seen just what it will entail. Whether this is Kingsman 3 or perhaps the prequel film Vaughn previously talked about is not yet clear.

It’s likely that Vaughn is working with co-writer Jane Goldman on the upcoming film, but her involvement has yet to be confirmed.

The movie is said to begin filming in the UK in January, which means a tight production schedule to meet that November release date.

At the moment there aren’t any concrete details about what characters could be returning. Characters like Roxy (Sophie Cookson) and Merlin (Mark Strong) were both presumed dead by the end of the movie but Strong went on the record to Metro last year that Vaughn told him that no one really dies in these movies.

There is also the Statesman which were introduced in the second movie and includes characters played by Halle Berry, Channing Tatum, and Jeff Bridges that could return as well. Right now it’s all very unclear but if they are really shooting for that November 2019 release date then they’ll have to start shooting sooner rather than later. We can likely expect some cast confirmations by the end of the year.
