Lasaa Unveils 2018 Mobile Advert Stickers For Branded Vehicles (PICTURES)

The Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency, LASAA has launched it’s 2018 mobile advert stickers for branded vehicles.

Speaking at the unveiling of the new stickers, the Managing Director of the Agency Mr. Mobolaji Sanusi noted that it is a demonstration of the Agency’s commitment to continuous excellence, particularly inefficient service delivery to its numerous clients.

In his welcome address, Mr. Sanusi thanked the Agency’s numerous clients present at the event for making the 2017 edition a huge success, According to him “so far, I am glad to report to you that we have been able to record tremendous successes in the course of the year. However, like every process, there is always room for improvement”

Speaking further, Sanusi stated that “the 2018 mobile advert sticker is definitely an improvement on the 2017 edition. We have taken painstaking efforts to increase the security features of the 2018 edition. The new 2018 mobile sticker has new anti-counterfeit properties. It runs on an authentication system against fraud, with a robust and secure database platform. It has an enhanced internal control mechanism which comes with a hologram-finish with specialized barcodes and serial numbers”.

He reiterated that “the new process will improve the existing mobile advertisement management system to ensure that all branded vehicles are continuously captured by fleet for mobile advert permits. An online platform will be deployed for the purpose of providing LASAA with real-time verification and authentication of all mobile advert displays in the State. This is aimed at blocking all leakages associated with the registration process.

He stressed that these steps are measures to stem the activities of fraudsters as these special features will facilitate the Agency’s monitoring, compliance and enforcement exercise such that, non-compliant vehicles are easily identified and impounded.

Speaking further, Sanusi stated that “all branded vehicles must have their stickers displayed on them. No TELLER or RECEIPT will be accepted as proof of payment. Our enforcement team will commence monitoring from the last week in January 2018 to ensure maximum compliance. But after a notice of seven days have been given to affected stakeholders”.

According to him “the new process is simplified and quick. This is in tune with His Excellency’s commitment to promoting ease of doing business in government circles across the state. Our plan is to make your stickers available within 24–48 hours”.

He enjoined all clients and customers to do business with the Agency directly and avoid middlemen. “All fraudsters and those they collaborate with shall be dealt with within the ambit of the law. All stickers shall be collected almost immediately after payment and such stickers are to be affixed to applicable vehicles” he stated

Also, the head of Mobile Advert of the Agency Mrs. Bimbo Odumbaku used the opportunity to admonish clients to desist from patronizing agents or touts who parade themselves as the Agency’s representatives. She emphasized that the agency will be offering 5% discount to all fully branded vehicles registered from 2nd November till the 31st of December, 2017. She urged all fully branded vehicle owners with no less than fifty fleets to take advantage of this promotion while it lasts.
