Lifemate expands network, opens shop in Abuja

Leading furniture company, Lifemate has opened a new showroom at Area 11, Ahmadu Bello Way, Abuja as part of its expansion plans.

The ultra-modern office is regarded as the biggest showroom in the country, occupying a total space of 12,000 square metres at the eighth floor. The company currently has 13 branches in six cities, bringing its total office space in the country to 40,000 square metres In Nigeria.

Lifemate Managing Director, Dereck Dai, described the Chinese company as a one-stop shop for all. He said that apart from a robust network in Nigeria, the company also operates in South Africa, Sudan, Benin, Tanzania, Zambia, Ghana and Madagascar.

“Nigeria is a good market and the people are quite friendly. Many of our workers have been here for years, some for 14 years. It is like my second home and I have been here for eight good years and my son was born here. We promise to do more, because we invest, produce and pay custom duties here,” Dai said.

Lifemate used the grand opening to offer its value customers massive discounts and cash reward of N1.7 million through a raffle draw. The lion-share of N500, 000 cash was offered to one of the lucky customers.

Among the dignitaries at the launch included ace broadcaster Mrs. Eugunia Abu. She lauded the company for its competitive product offering and for building bridge between Nigeria and China.

The company began operations in Nigeria 11 years ago and currently offers employment for more than 400 Nigerians in production, sales, transport, after service and outdoor activities.
