Philip Morris Limited, an international tobacco manufacturing company, has been certified top employer of the year in Nigeria following its commitment to excellent working conditions and best-in-class career experiences to its employees.
The company was among other eight in the country to be recognised for demonstrating excellence in it human resources practices and employment offerings that sees its employees develop personally and professionally through its selected programmes.
Top Employers Award is a result of a robust assessment process and meetings requiring standards to achieve the certification status. Areas of assessment in the certification process include Talent Strategy, Performance Management, Learning and Development, Succession Management and Organisational Culture.
The company which clinched the award for the second consecutive year was confirmed certified having met all the specified conditions. The assessment was further validated by a renowned auditing firm, Grand Thornton Philip Morris,
The company’s affiliates in Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, Senegal, and South Africa were also certified Top Employers in their respective countries.
At the award ceremony which took place in Johannesburg, South Africa, Managing Director, Philip Morris Limited, Coskun Kagan Dicle, noted that the company remained committed and loyal to the country.
