As part of efforts to support the Lagos State Government in the transportation sector, Lagos Traffic Radio 96.1fm organised its 3rd annual lecture with the theme; ”Modeling the Lagos Transport Infrastructural Support System”, sponsored by Fatgbems Petroleum Company.

The event took place at the Eko FM Multipurpose Hall, LTV Complex, Agindigbi, Ikeja, Lagos on Thursday, July 5, 2018, focused on the transportation sector and designed to advance intellectual and stakeholders’ contributions into proffering solutions to issues impacting the nation’s transport management system.

According to the organizers, the Lagos Traffic Radio Lecture Series is borne out of the need for the regular interface of ideas on best practices and latest tools that can be deployed to better manage the ever-increasing motor traffic challenges of Lagos State.

The event also focused discussions on Lagos Maritime Security, Economic Prosperity, Advancing Lagos State Transport Development – the Legal and Perspective, Truck Transit Park: the solution to endemic gridlock in Apapa among others.

FatGbem Petroleum’s Executive Director, Adebayo Gbemisola, delivered his goodwill message, urging best practices and professionalism on part of the traffic agencies in the discharge of their duties. He also commended them for their contributions so far in the state’s traffic management.

The event also served as an avenue to recognize outstanding LASTMA & FRSC officials for their contributions to the success story of Lagos Traffic Radio in the following categories:

  • Most Outstanding Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) Officer of the year 2018
  • Most Dedicated Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) Officer of the year 2018
  • FRSC officer of the year 2018.
