Just in time for summer, Makioba unveils its SS17 mid-season collection ‘Efflorescence’ which is inspired largely by the Creative Director’s love for flowers. Based on an unfussy colour scheme, the label uses this collection to show seasonal changes and depict a blooming woman.
The collection brings a fresh take with the usage of floral designs and the new range has pieces that are both thoughtful and attention grabbing at the same time.
The collection sees the Makioba woman revisiting past silhouettes while re-purposing them and evolving towards the future. The chic cocktail dresses, jumpsuits and skirt boosted with interesting details in the form of appliques and pleats, accentuates the Makioba woman’s figure perfectly in a way that is not usually given to plus-size women.
