The off-grid electricity sub-sector of the solar energy market got a boost recently with the inauguration of new sales centers by Solynta Energy across SLOT Stores in Lagos.

The event kicked off with a press meet and greet at its Lagos corporate head Ofice where details of their brands, its rich offerings, and plans were shared.

CEO, Solynta Energy, Mr. Uvie Ugono, said at the event that the objective of the brand is to be accessible to Nigerians. “We believe we are the ultimate service provider to our customers as they are utmost in our minds in whatever we do,” he said.

According to him, the idea was borne from the need to use renewable energy to solve the country’s erratic power supply.

He believes the availability of solar solutions will play an essential role in efforts to bridge the nation’s electricity supply gap. He says that businesses without access to the grid find alternative electricity sources expensive, unreliable and dirty – many are now discovering that the clean energy wave sweeping across Africa can transform their fortunes.

Nigeria’s power minister, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, a few days ago told traditional operators in the country’s power market that solar power was fast coming after their market shares and would soon end their dominance of electricity supplies to most homes in the country.

The new centers will also offer after-Sales Service as well as Promos & Discounted offers.

The Locations Presently active are SLOT stores located in Ajah, V/Island, Ikeja, Gbagada and Surulere areas of Lagos State. The organization plans to take it to other areas of the state, and also nationwide.

“We are driven by the desire to replace the use of generators with 24-hours power that is clean and affordable. We believe this will be the catalyst for driving our economy forward and creating opportunities for everyone”, he said.
