“There is More to Economic Growth Than Numbers” – LBS Breakfast Session (December 2017 Edition)

As we approach election campaign season, the use and misuse of economic data to make a strong or weak case for the incumbents, opposition and the unknowns will become the norm. 

Nigerians are all asking questions that include, “when will I feel the impact of this growth recovery and rosy data being peddled?”. That is why the theme of the LBS Breakfast at dinner time presentation is drawn from Rothschild’s words that “there is more to economic growth than numbers”.

2018 is a year of hope where growth momentum is expected to be sustained at 2.2%. The pre-election year is expected to be one to watch as economic and business decisions will be underpinned by political considerations.
