Uber has agreed to raise its fares per minute and kilometer; in a report obtained by BrandSpur, Uber cited the uniqueness of the city of Lagos as well as the seeming traffic challenges as key reasons for the hike.

This decision was made after thorough evaluation of the feedback sessions and surveys from driver partners who overtime have been speaking on the need to have a fair structure that will better compensate them especially for the time spent in Lagos traffic. Hence, the fares in Lagos have been reviewed.

The new rate will be in effect from today, Monday 20 November, the per minute fare has been doubled from N5.5 to N11 while the cost per kilometer(km) has been increased to N60 from N55.
