The CEO of Gavice Logistics Limited, Ahamba Tochukwu, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for allegedly defrauding hundreds of gullible investors out of a total of N2,000,000,000.00.

The EFCC claims that Tochukwu used the pretence of haulage, courier, and e-commerce services to entice investors into a fraudulent investment scheme by offering an alluring 50% return on investment (ROI). The suspect stole more than two billion naira (N2,000,000,000.00) from over 400 investors, according to investigations, who have since been unable to get their money back or the returns they were promised. When Tochukwu disappeared with the money in November 2024, the purported scam allegedly started to fall apart.

Eventually, EFCC agents found him and took him into custody. They are now questioning him about his role in what they say is a Ponzi scheme disguised as a logistics company. Nigerians have once again been cautioned by the EFCC to be cautious of unreliable investment platforms and dishonest promoters who take advantage of their desperation by promising them enticing returns, BrandSpur Nigeria news desk reports.
