Africa accounted for just 4% of global advertising, public relations and related services market share in 2017. This is indicated in the 2018 Global Market Report on Advertising, Public Relations, and Related Services, published by Research and Markets.
According to the report, North America had the largest share and accounted for 32% of market share in 2017 ahead of Asia Pacific with about 26% of market share. Africa captured the smallest share of public and private advertising services, accounting for around 4% of market share.
However, African advertising and public relations market shares could increase over the coming months, as major advertising subsidiaries and world’s leading ad agencies will settle on the continent.
