The Nigerian Stock Exchange released the list of top ten Brokers performance for the week (12/06/2017 – 16/06/2017).
The fresh data pushed into the capital market has shown that 70.66% of the total transactions for the week in terms of value were handled by 10 brokers, amounting to 45,298,096,489.02. Also, the top 10 Stockbrokers are responsible for 46.83% of the total volume between (12/06/2017 – 16/06/2017)
This NSE, which revealed this in its Broker Performance Report, showed that STANBIC IBTC STOCKBROKERS LIMITED traded 651,596,821 shares, which accounted for 11.90 per cent of the exchange’s total trading volume. It was followed by CSL STOCKBROKERS LIMITED with 467,724,701 shares and RENCAP SECURITIES (NIG) LIMITED with 305,704,235 shares, representing 8.54 per cent and 5.58 per cent of total volume respectively.
By value, STANBIC IBTC STOCKBROKERS LIMITED traded 11,642,513,712.72 Naira which represents 18.16% of the exchange’s total trading value while CSL STOCKBROKERS LIMITED and RENCAP SECURITIES (NIG) LIMITED traded 8,496,091,512.21 Naira (13.25%) and 6,218,466,895.02 Naira (9.70%) respectively.
