The King of Beers, Budweiser is launching a unique game-changing campaign tagged, The King’s Stitch, targeted at engaging, inspiring and celebrating the individuality of Nigerian youth.

The King’s Stitch is a movement borne out of the need to safeguard the Nigerian youth who’s often misunderstood. It’s expected to help them be true to themselves, build their confidence, address injustices and inequalities that may hold them back, and amplify impact. Stereotyping of young people is widespread. Society often throws shades at the youth, portraying them as threatening, careless and given to excesses. These fired shots may diminish self-esteem. Positive stereotype portraying this generation as idealistic, dynamic and Gucci improves their sense of worth, confidence and self-respect.

Characterised by their digital zest, Gen Z is developing at a pace never before witnessed in the history of the world. While they’re innovative and entrepreneurial, they tend to play by their own rules, which often are at variance with what the world is accustomed to. But, what happens when these free-spirited, liberal thinkers come face to face with a docile and meek society? Chaos!

Budweiser has ditched the basic and created The King’s Stitch, a platform where youths can engage and be engaged to showcase their personality. Budweiser has prepared a video clip showcasing some young Nigerians who are successfully challenging the status quo, at the launch of the initiative.

This video is the first step in a series of events which would eventually peak at a Fashion Surprise that would see famous designers work with regular Gen Zs in the production of the most exciting and eccentric fashion show ever.

According to the Consumer Connections Manager, International Breweries, Ms Jumoke Okikiolu, The King’s Stitch campaign speaks to young Nigerians who are bold enough to be authentic even when society tries to inhibit their self -expression.

Whether it’s through their social media handles or the hairstyles they wear, Gen Zs are constantly speaking, and yearning to be heard. Well, Budweiser, the King of Beers, has heard and is ready to launch a carefully tailored platform for young inspired Nigerians to break free from the norm as they channel their creativity into living their best lives.
