Gambling companies getting into sponsorship deals with football teams is big business everywhere. On the whole, these companies spend close to $ 330.5 million per year on securing sponsorship rights for the sports brands.

To things into perspective, 9 out of the 20 clubs that take part in the English Premier League, and 17 out of 24 championship teams advertise some or the other betting company on their shirts.

While the English Premier League is considered the most competitive throughout the world, considered closely, it has been dominated by six big clubs for the most part of the last decade.

Even the popular soccer predictions portals tell the same story whenever any of these teams have their matches coming up. Teams snap up the best of the footballers from across the world and entering into record transfer deals. The chasing pack, on the other hand, is left with no option but to find innovative income streams to maintain their place in the league.

Here are some of the well-known football clubs that have tie-ups with sports betting sponsors:

West Ham United – Betway

West Ham United made an announcement in 2015 that the club is entering into a record sponsorship deal with Betway, the popular online gambling business that is based out of Guernsey and Malta. The deal was estimated to be around $ 12.7 million per year.

Newcastle United – Fun88
