OLCA, MLU Sign MoU To Drive Standardised African Research, Integrative Coaching

OLUSOLA Lanre Coaching Academy (OLCA) Ltd has signed a five-year renewable Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Myles Leadership University (MLU) to drive standardised African research and integrative coaching, as well as fostering a new era of knowledge and empowerment on the continent.

Together, they aim to create impactful initiatives that would elevate research practices and coaching methodologies across Africa.

Chief Catalyst at OLCA Coaching Ltd, Dr Lanre Olusola, during the signing of the MoU, yesterday, in Lagos, mentioned a shift towards African-centric research, emphasising that conventional coaching is no longer sufficient for addressing issues in Africa.

He, therefore, stressed the need for integrative practices, blending coaching, psychology, psychodynamics, neuroscience and energy psychology to tackle challenges effectively.

Olusola further said that the practice of separating coaching from complementary disciplines was inadequate for resolving problems, as many issues stem from entrenched negative, limiting, disempowering beliefs, along with outdated traditions and culture.

He said that the primary benefit would be the development of Afrocentric research to address critical issues and offering solutions, particularly through the integration of coaching, neuroscience, psychodynamics, and behavioural change psychology.

Co-Founder of MLU, Dr Matthew Mario, while corroborating Olusola’s view, emphasised that the partnership demonstrates their dedication to promoting excellence, leadership, and innovation.

He said that in their joint endeavour, they aimed to extend the synergy beyond geographical borders, cultural distinctions, and educational disciplines. This, he noted, would pave the way for enhanced research collaboration, faculty exchange programmes, and the joint operation of innovative educational approaches.

“Together, we will cultivate a learning environment that would not only impact knowledge but also nurture the development of leadership skills essential for success in today’s dynamic world. The collaboration would make impact and change African narrative in future,” he said.
