MTN Nigeria unveiled the See Naija platform in honour of World Tourism Day, a digital tourism project designed to highlight Nigeria’s dynamic culture, recognisable landscapes, and inventive talent. The launch, which took place at the MTN Event Centre in Ikoyi, aims to dispel common misconceptions and unfavourable perceptions about Nigeria.
The See Naija platform is aimed at educating people about Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage, from its vibrant festivals and traditional way of life to its breathtaking natural settings, and discovering new places and perspectives.
The site will investigate intriguing images and narratives about the Great Oyo Empire, Gashaka Gumti Park in Taraba state, Gurara Waterfalls in Niger state, Mount Patti in Lokoja, Agbokim Waterfall, Osun Sacred Grove, and a plethora of other topics in partnership with certain content artists.
MTN also unveiled the “See Naija” Competition in conjunction with this event, inviting participants to rediscover the stunning sights and sounds that showcase Nigeria’s rich cultural legacy.
The creative challenge invites people, including content creators, photographers, and videographers, to share their unique perspectives on Nigeria through images or videos that best capture the essence of the country—its people, landscapes, culture, or traditions—using the hashtag #SeeNaijawithMTN.
Interested parties can enter the tournament by:
