A distribution deal between Orange and Disney was signed on Friday, allowing the telecom operator’s users to access the content of the American media behemoth.
Under the arrangement, all Orange TV users will have access to National Geographic (documentaries) and Disney Channel (children’s programming) starting on January 2. In addition to a variety of linked TVs, customers will be able to view these channels through their set-top box and the Orange TV app on smartphones, BrandSpur digital news platform reports.

Furthermore, subscribers of Orange’s ‘Livebox Max’ plan will receive a lifetime five-euro discount when they sign up for Disney+, the entertainment group’s streaming service. Other TV users of the operator will be able to explore the Disney+ service for free for a month.
Four months after their theatrical release, Orange’s video-on-demand (VOD) service will make Disney movies available to members. Every studio in the Disney group—Disney, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Studios, and Searchlight Pictures—will be involved in these films.
