Biodun Adefila and Rotimi Ade-Onojobi have been appointed as Managing Director and Creative Director, respectively, by Spice 360, one of Nigeria’s leading integrated marketing communications firms.
The agency’s Board of Directors signed a letter announcing the nominations, which are effective immediately. The appointments mark a daring new chapter in Spice 360’s quest towards strategic expansion, creative excellence, and industry leadership, according to the board’s leadership.
The appointments, it added, highlight the agency’s dedication to providing powerful brand solutions and encouraging an innovative culture in a marketing environment that is becoming more and more dynamic. Before her current position, Adefila was the Chief Operating Officer at SO&U Limited, where she managed innovative marketing initiatives for well-known companies like Guinness Nigeria, GTBank, Unilever, P&G, and Access Bank.
Adefila has a certification from Lagos Business School’s Advanced Management Program and an MBA from the University of Liverpool. In addition, she has received multiple industry honours, such as Outstanding Advertising Personality of the Year (Marketing Edge, 2020) and recognition as one of the Top 50 Most Influential Women in Marketing Communications (Brand Communicator, 2023). She once served on the board of the Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN).
Adefila is a renowned advertising industry leader with more than 20 years of experience, offering a depth of knowledge in strategic planning, operational leadership, and brand management in a variety of industries. She will be in charge of Spice 360’s operations, business strategy, and client relationships. She will guide the team towards sustainable innovation and market leadership in Sub-Saharan Africa.
On the other hand, Rotimi Ade-Onojobi brings more than ten years of cross-platform creative leadership to Spice 360, where he is renowned for his storytelling skills, brand-building knowledge, and creative campaign execution. For companies including Heineken, Nestlé, Airtel, ABInBev, Skyy Vodka, and Access Bank, he has spearheaded innovative projects. He most recently held the position of Head of Brand and Design at BOGO Beverages, where he was instrumental in the successful launch and expansion of brands like BOGO Charger Energy Drink and Bottega Italian Sparkling Wine. Additionally, he has held important creative positions at Monument Distillers, Livespot Group, RedWolf (Ark Group), and DIJO Group, where he led successful campaigns like Be the Hero for Hero Lager and the Livespot X Festival with Cardi B.
Ade-Onojobi, a computer science graduate from Olabisi Onabanjo University with advanced creative training from Orange Academy, offers the agency a special blend of technical know-how and artistic flair. He will be in charge of the creative vision and execution in his new position on digital, traditional, and experiential channels, creating captivating brand tales that appeal to today’s demographic.
Young and nimble, Spice 360 is well-positioned to provide targeted marketing communications to discriminating partners like the Tolaram Group, among others. The Lagos Advertising and Ideas Festival (LAIF), Nigeria’s premier advertising competition, last year placed the agency as the fourth most creative agency in the country, BrandSpur news brand reports.
