Air Peace and Emirates Airline have formalised a bilateral interline agreement designed to expand air travel links between Africa, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom. The partnership enables passengers to book a single ticket across routes operated by both carriers, with baggage checked through to final destinations, enhancing convenience for travellers across the continent.

Under the new arrangement, Emirates passengers can access additional West African cities on Air Peace’s network. These include Banjul in The Gambia and Dakar in Senegal via Abidjan, as well as Freetown in Sierra Leone and Monrovia in Liberia via Accra. This complements the 13 Nigerian cities already reachable through the partnership, significantly broadening regional connectivity.

Brandspur Brand News notes that the agreement also allows Air Peace to link its regional flights to Emirates’ global hub in Dubai and key international destinations, including London Heathrow, London Gatwick, and London Stansted, in addition to Lagos, Accra, and Abidjan. The collaboration is aimed at promoting tourism, supporting business travel, and opening global markets to African passengers.

Emirates Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, Adnan Kazim, emphasised that the partnership reinforces the airline’s footprint across Africa and supports Nigeria’s aviation industry. “Enhancing our interline partnership with Air Peace allows us to expand our reach across more African cities, creating new opportunities for seamless travel while promoting tourism and trade via Lagos,” Kazim said.

For Air Peace, the interline deal represents a strategic milestone in its goal to connect Africa more efficiently to global markets. Chief Commercial Officer Nowel Ngala stated, “Combining our strong regional network with Emirates’ extensive international coverage delivers improved travel experiences and broader access to key global destinations for African travellers.”

Emirates currently operates a Boeing 777-300ER on the Dubai–Lagos route, offering first-class, business, and economy cabins, with multi-course menus crafted by award-winning chefs and access to more than 6,500 entertainment options via its ICE inflight system, including Nollywood content. Air Peace, operating a fleet of over 50 aircraft comprising Boeing 777s, Boeing 737s, and Embraer jets, serves domestic, regional, and international destinations, further solidifying its role as a critical bridge between Africa and global aviation networks.
