Schneider Electric, a global energy technology leader, has named Steven Santini as Vice President for its Secure Power division in Sub-Saharan Africa. The announcement was made on Tuesday as part of the company’s strategy to strengthen its presence and expand resilient infrastructure solutions across the region.
The Secure Power division provides digital resilience and intelligent operational technologies that protect critical infrastructure, including data centres, distributed IT systems, and industrial applications. Santini brings over 15 years of experience in IT infrastructure, channel leadership, and strategic alliances, returning to the region with extensive expertise in compute, storage, and software-defined solutions.
Brandspur Brand News reports that Santini, who previously served as IT Channel Director for Schneider Electric UK&I, transforming the unit from hardware sales to a solutions-led organisation, will now focus on building trusted partnerships and delivering outcome-based solutions across Sub-Saharan Africa.
“I strongly believe we should not be selling products; we should be delivering outcomes,” Santini said. “Understanding the full technology stack and our customers’ workloads allows the conversation to shift from racks and power distribution units to business performance, resilience, and sustainability. That is where real value lies.”
He also highlighted the importance of trust and long-term relationships in the African market, emphasising that rebuilding and reinforcing partnerships is key to sustainable growth. Santini and his team will guide the division’s strategic direction, supporting clients across data centres, edge environments, industrial applications, and critical infrastructure with innovative, resilient, and sustainable solutions.
Schneider Electric’s move reflects its commitment to strengthening Sub-Saharan Africa’s technology and energy ecosystem, leveraging local expertise to enhance digital resilience and operational efficiency in rapidly growing markets.
