Tetracore Energy Group has announced a strategic collaboration with global technology leader Huawei and local innovator Inspirive Technologies to build a $400 million Tier III data centre at the Tetracore Energy Park in Ogun State.

The initiative, billed as an “energy-to-digital” solution, aims to tackle Nigeria’s persistent power instability challenges while supporting the country’s fast-growing digital ecosystem. The 20MW facility is expected to be operational within 10 to 12 months and will meet international Tier III standards, offering high redundancy and resilience suitable for financial institutions, government agencies, and cloud service providers.

Brandspur Brand News reports that Tetracore Energy Group will provide the specialised energy infrastructure, powered by its 100MW Independent Power Plant, while Huawei contributes cutting-edge technological hardware for the data centre. Inspirive Technologies will oversee integration and operational management, combining local expertise with global best practices.

Olakunle Williams, President and CEO of Tetracore Energy Group, highlighted the critical link between energy and digital transformation: “Sustainable digital growth depends on reliable power infrastructure. This project demonstrates our ability to merge energy and technology at scale, driving long-term economic development and reinforcing Tetracore Energy Park’s role as a hub for major digital initiatives.”

A Huawei Nigeria representative emphasised efficiency and innovation, stating, “Our contribution ensures the facility operates at world-class standards, delivering high performance and energy efficiency to support Nigeria’s growing digital economy.”

Williams Abiola, Chief Technology Officer of Inspirive Technologies, noted the project’s potential to strengthen the country’s digital backbone: “This data centre combines local know-how with global technology, creating a scalable platform to boost enterprise growth, cloud adoption, and AI-driven digital transformation across Africa.”

With artificial intelligence and advanced analytics adoption surging across the continent, the facility is specifically designed to handle high-performance workloads, reduce dependency on offshore hosting, and enhance national data security.

By situating the centre within Tetracore Energy Park, the partners bypass national grid limitations, ensuring stable, dedicated power crucial for uninterrupted digital operations.

The facility is expected to serve multiple high-growth sectors, including fintech, telecommunications, e-commerce, education, and technology startups, providing a secure and reliable digital infrastructure for enterprise and public sector stakeholders.

This partnership positions Nigeria to compete on a global scale, addressing energy challenges while fostering technology-driven growth and investment opportunities across West Africa.
