Nestlé Nigeria Reaffirms Support For Youth Entrepreneurship At YEEP 2026 Summit

Nestlé Nigeria has renewed its commitment to advancing youth entrepreneurship in Nigeria, reaffirming its support for initiatives that equip young people with business skills, innovation capabilities and access to opportunities needed to build sustainable enterprises. The company made the announcement during the National Youth Entrepreneurship and Empowerment Summit (YEEP) 2026 held in Abuja.

Speaking at the event, company representatives highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship as a key driver of job creation, innovation and long-term economic growth, particularly as young people make up the majority of Nigeria’s population. The summit brought together policymakers, business leaders, development partners and aspiring entrepreneurs to discuss practical strategies for expanding youth-led enterprise.

Nestlé Nigeria’s renewed pledge builds on its long-running collaboration with the Activate Success International Foundation, which has focused on youth enterprise development through mentorship, skills acquisition and business support initiatives. Brandspur Brand News reports that the partnership has now spanned eight years, helping young Nigerians develop viable business ideas while connecting them with industry experts and potential investors.

The company said creating an enabling environment for entrepreneurship remains central to its contribution to Nigeria’s socio-economic development, stressing that innovative ideas capable of solving real problems are more likely to attract investment and create lasting impact.

Nestlé also encouraged young entrepreneurs to embrace continuous learning, resilience and creativity as they navigate the challenges of building businesses, while assuring participants that private sector organisations and development partners remain committed to supporting enterprise development across the country.

The company commended the Activate Success International Foundation for sustaining its youth empowerment programmes over more than a decade and for consistently providing platforms that encourage innovation among young Nigerians through the annual YEEP conference.

Nestlé further acknowledged the contributions of government agencies, development organisations and private sector partners that continue to invest in initiatives aimed at reducing unemployment and strengthening entrepreneurship within Nigeria’s growing youth population.

The YEEP Summit has become one of Nigeria’s prominent entrepreneurship platforms, bringing together stakeholders from the public and private sectors to explore solutions that promote economic inclusion and support emerging businesses.

As Nigeria continues to grapple with high youth unemployment, programmes that provide mentorship, skills development and access to entrepreneurial networks are increasingly viewed as critical to expanding opportunities for young people and driving inclusive economic growth.
