The Nigerian Stock Exchange released the list of top ten Brokers performance for the week (22/05/2017 – 26/05/2017).
The fresh data pushed into the capital market has shown that 71.04% of the total transactions for the week in terms of value were handled by 10 brokers, amounting to 28,494,909,644.91. Also, the top 10 Stockbrokers are responsible for 53.91% of the total volume between (22/05/2017 – 26/05/2017).
This NSE, which revealed this in its Broker Performance Report, showed that RENCAP SECURITIES (NIG) LIMITED traded 610,102,952 shares, which accounted for 16.25 per cent of the exchange’s total trading volume. It was followed by STANBIC IBTC STOCKBROKERS LIMITED with 418,372,067 shares and FBN SECURITIES LIMITED with 245,080,184 shares, representing 11.15 per cent and 6.53 per cent of total volume respectively.
By value, RENCAP SECURITIES (NIG) LIMITED traded 11,426,244,241.67 Naira which represents 28.49% of the exchange’s total trading value while STANBIC IBTC STOCKBROKERS LIMITED and FBN SECURITIES LIMITED traded 6,156,464,691.74 Naira (15.35%) and 2,501,643,107.41 Naira (6.24%) respectively.
