In summary, the All Share Index (ASI) gained 815.83 absolute points, representing a growth of 2.77% to close at 30,314.14 points. Similarly, the Market Capitalization gained N282.04 billion, representing a growth of 2.77% to close at N10.48 trillion.
The upturn was impacted by gains recorded in medium and large capitalized stocks, amongst which are; FBNH (+10.00%), ACCESS (+5.53%), FLOURMILLS (+5.00%), DANGCEM (+5.00%), MOBIL (+5.00%), BETAGLAS (+4.99%), NB (+4.95%), UBA (+4.93%), ETI (+3.77%), ZENITH (+2.90%), STANBIC (+1.92%) AND PRESCO (+0.98%).

Foreign Exchange
In the interbank market, the Naira traded with volatility as it moved outside the N305.00 band to settle at N306.46, representing a depreciation of N0.33%. The I&E FX window closed at 380.44, representing an appreciation of 0.06% against previous close.
We expect the FX market to continue at its current range in next session.
Money Market
OBB and Overnight rates closed at an average of 8.87% and 8.42%, representing a marginal moderate dip from yesterday’s position of 11.67% and 12.33% respectively.
The CBN conducted an OMO auction to mop up excess liquidity, selling a total of N232.8million of the 14/12/2017 and N12.70billion of the 17/05/2018 maturities at a stop rate of 18.00% and 18.60%.
