The Nigerian Stock Exchange released the list of top ten Brokers performance for the week (30/05/2017 – 02/06/2017).
The fresh data pushed into the capital market has shown that 61.02% of the total transactions for the week in terms of value were handled by 10 brokers, amounting to 29,063,806,811.11 . Also, the top 10 Stockbrokers are responsible for 47.98% of the total volume between (30/05/2017 – 02/06/2017).
This NSE, which revealed this in its Broker Performance Report, showed that CHAPEL HILL DENHAM SECURITIES LTD – BRD traded 313,377,029 shares, which accounted for 6.76 per cent of the exchange’s total trading volume. It was followed by STANBIC IBTC STOCKBROKERS LIMITED with 291,395,716 shares and RENCAP SECURITIES (NIG) LIMITED with 278,076,567 shares, representing 6.28 per cent and 6.00 per cent of total volume respectively.
By value, RENCAP SECURITIES (NIG) LIMITED traded 6,740,297,192.08 Naira which represents 14.15% of the exchange’s total trading value while STANBIC IBTC STOCKBROKERS LIMITED and CHAPEL HILL DENHAM SECURITIES LTD – BRD traded 4,791,940,895.72 Naira (10.06 %) and 2,852,008,304.29 Naira (5.99%) respectively.
