Lagos-based Chellarams Plc, has signed a joint venture agreement with German-based dairy company, DMK Group, to establish a new company that will manage production, marketing, sales and distribution of dairy products across Nigeria. According to the company, the venture is the next phase in the existing partnership between the two companies established 25 years ago.
“The Nigerian consumers will benefit from a full range of products that DMK Group has deployed in other markets,” it said.
Called Chellarams DMK Ltd, the new company will manage products of established brands like Oldenburger, Real milk and Regal Milk, which are well known by Nigerian consumers. It will invest in a bigger distribution network by collaborating with major distributors, therefore creating a strong presence across all sales channels like modern trade, general trade and food services.
Founded in 1923, Chellarams Plc., engages in a diverse range of industries including manufacturing, retail, distribution, marketing and power generation.
