Up in The Sky wins Silver at 2017 Summit Marketing Effectiveness Awards

Leading creative agency in Nigeria, Up in The Sky has won a silver medal for its 2016 Konga Yakata Black Friday campaign at the 2017 Summit Marketing Effectiveness Awards (MEA).

The agency has won the award for the second consecutive time due to its impactful advertising campaigns.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)of the agency, Mr. Oje Ojeaga, expressed delight for the ability of his agency to have won the award.

Ojeaga stressed that winning the award shows that the agency was not resting on its oars in creating outstanding advertising campaigns of international standards.

He said: “We are really pleased to receive this award, we always strive to create impactful advertising and the Konga Yakata TV Commercial proves this. Winning a marketing effectiveness award for the 2nd year running is a testimony to the creative synergy between us as an agency and our clients, in this case, Konga.com”.

Speaking in the same vein, Executive Director, Summit Marketing Effectiveness Awards, Mr. Jocelyn Luciano, noted that creating good advertising campaigns is a very difficult task, hence the need to appreciate those agencies that have done some good works.

Luciano added that the award is of international standard and only deserving submissions receive Summit MEA recognition.

According to him, “Marrying creativity and effectiveness can be a difficult task, so winning a Summit MEA is a significant achievement. The combination of experienced judges and our tough criteria ensure that only deserving submissions receive Summit MEA recognition”.

He affirmed that the Summit Awards organization is dedicated to furthering excellence in the communications industry, adding that the Summit Awards administer three distinguished award competitions throughout the year with the goal of raising the awareness of companies and individuals who have the creative and marketing talent to go beyond the ordinary.

During the 2017 event, judges analyzed submissions and selected only 6% to receive the top spots. A truly international competition, the Summit Marketing Effectiveness Award received submissions from thirteen countries including Australia, Canada, Denmark, England, Germany, India, Nigeria, Singapore, Republic of Korea, South Africa, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, and the United States.
