Equity market halts 12 successive gaining streak with a loss of N143.75 billion
The Equity Market on Tuesday gained 0.42%, sustaining yesterday’s uptrend. Similarly, market breadth closed positive, recording 34 gainers against 24 losers. 
In summary, the All Share Index (ASI) gained 187.31 absolute points, representing a growth of 0.42% to close at 44,493.79 points. Similarly, the Market Capitalization gained N67.15 billionrepresenting a growth of 0.42% to close at N15.95 trillion.
The upturn was impacted by gains recorded in medium and large capitalized stocks, amongst which are; BETAGLASS (+4.97%), GUINNESS (+2.73%), STANBIC(+2.22%), DANGFLOUR (+1.86%), PRESCO (+1.43%), UBN (+1.23%), DANGCEM (+0.75%), FBNH (+0.75%), GUARANTY (+0.53%), DANGSUGAR (+0.48%) and WAPCO (+0.38%).

The Investors and Exporters (I&E) FX window opened at N359.91, traded high at N361.50 and eventually closed at N360.39, representing a 0.01% depreciation against yesterday’s closing price. A total of $334.32 million was transacted through the I&E window today.
