RECMA Ranks mediaReach OMD Leading Media Agency


The Research Company (RECMA), which evaluates Media Agency Billing and Ranking globally, has ranked mediaReach OMD the leading media agency in Nigeria with a 20.7 per cent share of media buying/billing, having grown by seven per cent in 2017 compared to 2016.

mediaReach OMD has consistently ranked Number One by RECMA since the report started for Nigeria in 2011. In Ghana, it ranked No 1 with a 21.1 percent share of media buying/billing, having grown by 11 percent in 2017 compared to 2016.

With the rankings in both countries, mediaReach OMD continues to be the leader in West and Central Africa.

This feat can be attributed to the growth mediaReach OMD recorded with the addition of new business and organic growth of existing business.

In other markets in Africa, OMD continues to lead the ranking. It ranks top of the survey in South Africa with 20.8 percent industry share of media buying/billing, and also in Kenya with 25.1 percent.

mediaReach OMD continues to be a thought leader and ground-breaking firm, which also focuses on syndicated and proprietary researches.

The media agency started operations in Nigeria 19 years ago and has been consistently ranked No 1 by RECMA (since the report started for Nigeria in 2011).  It has spread its reach to Ghana and Cameroon, among other countries.

In February 2017, OMD Worldwide was awarded the Most Creative and Innovative Network of the Year for the 11th consecutive time by the Gunn Report for Media, which is the industry standard for evaluating media creativity, innovation and effectiveness.

In early March 2017, mediaReach OMD was ranked No. 35, the only media agency in Jobberman Best 100 companies to work for in Nigeria, which was measured across various parameters including job satisfaction, career growth prospects, work-life balance, staff welfare, equal opportunity policy and company culture.

Later that same month, mediaReach OMD Nigeria won the 2017 Young Lions Media – Nigeria Competition and Young Pro Media – West Africa Championship.

In June 2018, it represented Nigeria at the Cannes Young Lions Media competition for the eighth time at the Cannes, since 2008.
