Access Bank To Change Africa’s Narrative With Upcoming ‘Born In Africa’ Festival

The narrative and representation of Nigeria and Africa have been far from positive, worldwide. This representation has affected our perception negatively and by extension hindered business opportunities for us.

Access Bank decided to take on the responsibility of changing the narrative, and the Access Bank Lagos City MarathonArt X LagosAFRIFF and the Accelerate Filmmaker Project have all been a part of retelling her story.

A story that lets the world know that there is more to Nigeria and Africa than despotism, corruption, terrorism, poverty and all the other ills that the world continues to associate with this great continent.

The formal launch of this initiative will happen through the Born in Africa Festival (BAFEST) scheduled for Sunday, December 16, 2018, at Eko Atlantic City.

The venue will open at 9 am with the Fashion, Art and Film Park, where various artists and fashion designers will exhibit and sell their works, while some of Africa’s finest filmmakers will host movie screenings.

The concert which will feature the likes of Davido, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage and more will start at 6 pm.

BAFEST will be open to the public and tickets can be purchased online at afritickets.com and ariiyatickets.com or at Eko Hotel.

Tickets will also be available at select Access Bank branches from Friday, December 7, 2018. Regular tickets are N5,000 and VIP N15,000.

Access Bank account holders will be eligible to free and discounted tickets. Terms and conditions apply.
