The Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbanjo will tomorrow launch the Tradermoni for beneficiaries in Ondo State.
The Special Advisers to the Governor on Public and Intergovernmental Affairs and Focal Officer for Ondo state on Social Intervention programmes, Mrs Olubunmi Ademosun made this known yesterday in Akure.
Ademosun who spoke with The Hope at the Oja Oba market said beneficiaries have begun to access the money during the weekend but that the official launching will be done tomorrow.
She disclosed that between 50,000 and 100,000 market women will benefit from the programme in the state.
She said the idea was not to buy votes as being speculated but to alleviate poverty among the vulnerable traders.
While disclosing that the beneficiaries will access the sum of N10,000 each, Ademosun said the money will go a long way assisting market women on petty trades like sachet pure water, locust beans sellers roasted yam and plantain sellers among others.
