Nigeria’s foremost logistics company, Red Star Express Plc, has upgraded its International Organization of Standardization (ISO) Certification to ISO 9001: 2015, having previously held the 9001:2008 certification. The new certification ensures that the Company remains one of the top organizations, as regards maintaining high standards in providing products and services for clients and customers.

The ISO 9001 certification, which is overseen by the Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON), focuses mainly on quality management, by ensuring that a Company’s products and/or services are designed, properly documented and implemented according to the approved standards.

Group Managing Director, Red Star Express Plc, Sola Obabori, stated that the upgrade was a necessary step for the company, as it looks to improve its operational processes. “We have realized that some of the criteria for Certification require that the Company be customer-focused, ensure timely pick-up and delivery of parcels and documents, have a system approach to management, provide continual improvement to processes, have mutually beneficial supplier relationships, as well as proving our commitment to maintaining quality on all levels.”
