Lagos Business School partners top global business schools for Global CEO Program – Africa - Brand Spur

Sixteen senior executives across Africa have converged in Strathmore Business School, Kenya, for the inaugural edition of the Global CEO Program – Africa.

Designed especially for African CEOs, the Global CEO programme for Africa which began on Monday, February 3, 2019, is the product of a partnership between Lagos Business School (LBS) and two of its long-time partners, Strathmore Business School, Kenya and IESE Business School, Spain. Its core objective is to help CEOs and organisational leaders in Africa boost their insight into the socio/political and economic environment within Africa and globally.

The three-module programme will see participants take classroom lessons from all three business schools across a duration of five months, with the introductory module currently being held in Strathmore Business School. This module places a focus on global economic trends, trends in emerging markets and the African business context from a socio-economic & political perspective.

Participants will take the second module of the programme at LBS in April 2019 when they will discuss business practices and strategic leadership under local economic conditions with a focus on West Africa. They will be taught using a mix of methods including the case study approach, workshops, group discussions and CEO panels.

The concluding module will hold at IESE Business School’s New York campus where participants will be exposed to innovation, entrepreneurship and leadership from a global perspective.

Drawing participants from Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, South Sudan and Nigeria, the groundbreaking programme is one of the ways LBS impacts on the knowledge and practice of management locally and globally
